Marilen with the labs of our lives

In the early 80's, we were fascinated with the German Shepherd breed.  We purchased an imported female with a Schutzhund II degree.  She was Diann von Hunnegrab.  She was a very tightly line bred bitch to Argus Aducht.  She became our foundation bitch.  Ph Ch Fee vom Trollbachtal was another beautiful bitch we acquired and this is where our last breeding of shepherds came from (ending in letter P).

Much of our know-how in breeding, showing & evaluating dogs started out with this breed.  We certainly credit the German SV Judges who came & visited the Philippines to share their knowledge & experience with us.

In 1994, we purchased our first pet yellow labrador.  Sadly as a pup he contracted a bad case of distemper: (  Perhaps that tragic incident may have been a blessing as it made us realize how much we loved the breed and subsequently made a lifetime commitment to the labrador.

We quickly learned as much as we could about the breed and by August 1994 we purchased an imported bitch from Cedarwoods kennel of Diann Sullivan.  Cedarwoods goose down - quackers arrived in dam.  She was mated to Simmerdowns Borador Regent (Reggie).
We had our first labrador litter on October 29, 1994.

In 1995, we soon found ourselves travelling all over the United States visiting and meeting with different labrador breeders and in that trip we met Sally Bell.  Sally has been so kind and wonderful as a mentor and we would like to take this opportutinity to say maraming salamat.

Sally Bell is a great influence & inspiration to our kennel!  She was kind enough to share with us her very beautiful bitch AM CH Boradors Vanity Fair.  You will find Vanity in many of our Angelfields pedigrees.  Vanity was among the top 20 labradors during her prime show days.

On June 2002, we visited with Sally once again and to our delight she shared with us AM CH Lenches Gallivant.  George will be standing at stud at Angelfields till the end of 2003.  In the list of top labradors studs in the USA, George was named one of  the top studs.  Currently he has sired over 10 American Champions.  We are very fortunate to have him with us: )

George earned his Philippine Grand Champion title in 3 months time!   He will certainly complement the lines of Angelfields.

Just as george arrived, an opportunity to own a 5 year old dam from kennel guidelines became a reality.  Thankyou Dinky Santos of Sunshadow kennels for sharing her with us.  Mary brings in a new line into our kennel.  She has the same birthday as Mama Mary so this makes her extra special to us.  Just recently, we kept a puppy bitch that recently won best puppy in show!  Now isn't that special: )
